Remembrance Day Poem

Hello,

This is a poem I wrote on Remembrance Day. I hope you like it.

A drop of blood

A seed of death

The men who took their last breath

Here they lay

Here we mourn

Our hearts they have been torn

So many have fought

So many have left

Their death to us was a theft

They left for adventure

They didn’t see the lie

Some of them left, No last good bye

Blood was spilt

Blood was lost

And at a deadly cost

We close our eyes

We see them there

Open again, our life is bare

Remember the people, who were just like us

Remember the ones, Home they did not come

We left them there under the Gallipoli sun

That drop of blood

That seed of death

Now lay in a poppy, were our men rest
