Global warming has been around forever. We can’t acually stop it. But human activity has been speeding up the process. We create extra green house gas. Our population keeps on growing and we need more energy. But the way we are getting it at the moment is destroying the atmosphere around us. Fossil fuels are made by burning coal. It creates the gas Co2. Co2 makes 99.4% of greenhouse gases. There are other ways of creating  energy like wind turbines and solar panels that don’t create greenhouse gases. But wind turbines are a problem in Australia because our prime minister says they are ugly. The gas his mines are creating are heating up our atmosphere. In the last 160 years  earths average temperature has gone up 1.2 degrees C. And every year oceans rise 2 mm because the polar ice cap is melting. This is also affecting many islands that are at sea leval. When the earth gets to hot our land will become smaller which is not good for a growing population. The gas we create is burning holes in our atmosphere allowing the sun to effect our world more. So with a few “ugly” turbines we could save the world from heat devastaion allowing natural disasters to occur more and become more sevre. And people are starting create wind turbines that sit on the oceans bed that use the currents to make electricity. So there are heaps of things we can do to stop global warming and cool down our earth. So start to help reduce the greenhouse gases we are creating.
